The sons loved each other very much. They planted the seeds just as told by their mother. As time went by, the elder son got married. After a short time the tree they planted grew. As it grew, it bore golden fruit. The eldest son's wife wanted to keep the valuable golden fruit for herself. Wanting to keep it all for herself, the wife thought to herself, "Hmmm, this tree bears golden fruit." "My brother-in-law is not married yet." "But he will marry in time." "Then we must share the golden fruit with his family." "We can only pick one a day." "I can't get rid of my brother-in-law." Thinking this way alone, she said to her husband. "My husband, let's pick all those gold fruit." "And let's move to a bigger village." But the husband said, "No." "I have only one beloved brother." "I grew up with him." "I have only one brother, just as he has only one brother." "He is my only brother." "I'm his brother, his father, and his mother." And what did the wife say? "Do you love me more?" "Or do you love your brother more?" "Choose!" When the wife said that, the husband said "Please, don't." "Don't say like that." But every day the wife told her husband to pick all the golden fruit and move to a bigger village. Not only that, she said, "Your brother has grown up enough." "He is dependable." "He can survive on his own." "He can live on his own." She nagged him every day. A man cannot stand a woman nagging him. So the husband said, "All right, let's pick all." They went to pick the golden fruit. When picking them, when they were about to pick them, the husband said. "My mother told me to pick only one a day." "We should not pick all of them." But the wife said, "We are moving to a far away village." "A fruit only grows back when we pick it." When the wife said like that, the husband said, "All right, let's pick them." At first he picked only one. When he picked only one, nothing happened. But when he picked the second one the tree turned into a snake. And it bit the brothers to death. That's the end of the story.
