Description:		Translation (Rita Seng Mai) The story I am going to tell is about someone who tried to take a peek but fell into a hole. Once upon a time, there was a chief in a region. The chief held a ceremony to select his son-in-law. He ordered his servants to dig a big hole and fill it with spikes. And he made an announcement, "Anyone who can jump into this hole will get to marry my daughter. I will also give half of my country." Princes from other countries came to see the big hole. They admired the chief's daughter but were too afraid to jump in because of the spikes. Therefore, they returned home. One day, the orphan boy was on his way to collect some wood. He was curious about what the hole looked like. He placed his basket behind him and stepped forward to look into the hole. As he bent down, he accidentally hit the basket and fell right into the hole. It looked like he jumped into the hole. Then the chief had to keep his promise, since the orphan boy had jumped into the hole. In fact, he fell in after his bottom hit the basket. The chief allowed the orphan boy to marry his daughter and became his son-in-law. Also, he gave him half of his country.
