Description: | Translation (Seng Pan) This is about "The fast one eats". A long time ago, there lived a rabbit and a wolf in a forest. They were best friends. One day, they found a piece of meat. The rabbit said, "This meat is only enough for one person. It's not enough for two persons." "Then how should we do?" the wolf asked. "Do you see a mountain in front of us? The one who could reach at the top of the mountain first, can eat this meat," the rabbit answered. So, they two went up to the top of the mountain and put the meat there. And they started competition. The wolf arrived there first. But both of them reached there nearly at the same time. Then the wolf said, "I arrived first." But the rabbit couldn't let him eat alone. So, he said, "My friend, we arrived here nearly at the same time. So, you shouldn't do like that. The oldest one should eat this meat." The wolf also agreed. Then the rabbit said, "Wolf, you tell your age first. How old are you?" "I have been here since the mountains that we see now were still so small. What about you?" the wolf said. "I am here since the time your father hadn't born yet," the rabbit answered. The wolf replied, "Oh! you are much older than me. As we promised, you eat this meat." The wolf gave him the meat and left. Transcription (Lu Awng) Lawan ai wa sha nga bai tsun na re. Moi shawng e da nam langai kaw chyahkyawn hte brangtai nga ai da.
