Description:Translation (Sen Pan) Once upon a time, two brothers lived in a village, and they loved each other very much. However, the younger brother was quite jealous of others. Each of them possessed a buffalo which their parents gave as an inheritance. Both of them worked on the farm for their living. The elder brother did farming, and the younger one did as well. One day, the elder brother's buffalo sneaked into, the younger brother's farm. The younger brother was so angry and beat the buffalo till it died. The elder brother was unhappy because of his brother's actions. So, they attended a court hearing. Anyhow, the elder brother forgave his brother since it was happened because of his brother's stupidity. Then he chopped up the buffalo and took out only the meat. Then he dried the meat. After he had dried, he took the pieces of dried meat and went to a town to sell them. And the elder brother could sell all there. After selling them, he returned home. When he was still on his way home, it got quite dark. Thus he slept in the forest a night. He thought to himself to sleep on the ground, but he worried some wild animals would come at night. Therefore, he climbed a tree and slept on top of it. At night, a group of robbers returned from stealing the gold. And they separated the gold under the tree that the elder brother was sleeping on. The elder brother was sleeping on the top of the tree. Since he was drowsy, the bag that he was holding fell off. It made the group of robbers who were dividing the gold under the tree shocked and scatter. In the morning, when everything became clear, the elder brother got down from the tree. He saw a lot of gold under the tree that the group of robbers left. So, he took the gold back home. And the elder brother became very wealthy. Then, the younger brother said to his elder brother, "How do you become a rich man?" "I dried the meat of the buffalo that you beat to dead and sold them in the town. On my way back home from the town, I got the gold," the elder brother answered. As the younger brother was jealous of him, he beat his own buffalo to death and dried the meat. He followed the same way as his elder brother did. And he went to the town by carrying the pieces of dried meat. He stayed there till it got dark. Then, he climbed the tree which his elder brother slept on, and he also slept on it. On the other hand, the group of robbers planned to go to the tree and looked for their gold since they left them just under the tree. They were angry and came to the tree that the younger brother was sleeping on. "We will kill anyone who we find here tonight," the robbers said. The younger brother trembled with scare. At that time, he threw the bag that he was holding. When it hit the ground, the robbers heard the sound and looked up at the tree. They saw the jealous younger brother on the tree. He was taken down from the tree and beaten by the robber. He died there. Since he was so envious of his elder brother, he was killed at last.
