Description:Translation (Mike Tu Awng) Once upon a time there were three brothers. Among the three brothers, the eldest brother's wife was very beautiful. The wife was very beautiful. And the second brother's wife was also very beautiful. But, the third brother's wife was a frog. It was not surprising that the two brothers always looked down on their younger brother because his wife was a frog. The two brothers always teased him saying, "You married such a frog. You want to build a family with a frog." Then, one day the king of their country announced that there would be held a weaving competition. It was announced that the one who won the first prize in the competition would be rewarded with a substantial gift. When they heard that the wives of the first and the second brother went to join in the weaving competition, but they didn't know how to wave well. However, when that frog, the wife of the third brother, went to join the competition among many others. But when the king checked, the weaving by the frog, the wife of the third brother, was the most beautiful among them. As her weaving was the most beautiful, the third brother's wife got the present. The next time the king announced, "I want to eat bamboo shoot salad. Let's see whose salad is more delicious." Then, he let them compete for it. When the king announced that the wives of the first and second brother made bamboo shoot salad in a big clay pot. After making the salad in the clay pot, they said, "Our salad will be more delicious this time." The third brother said, "My wife is a frog so I don't think she can make anything." However, in reality, the bamboo shoot salad that his wife made was more delicious. When the king asked who was the one that made such a delicious salad, it turned out that it was a frog. And, the king praised the frog so much. The next time, the king said, "I will give half of my kingdom to the most beautiful woman among all women." "I will give this gift to the household that has the most beautiful woman. Then, the wives of the first and the second brothers thought themselves that they would surely win this time as they were very beautiful. They said to one another, "This time we are going win no matter what. The third brother's wife is a frog so how could they show her in the public?" They were thinking that way. During the competition, this frog went to sit on a chair too. The frog joined in the long queue. There were many beautiful women sitting in the line. The frog was sitting the line too. Then, the king announced, "I will give 15 minutes more. Then, I will open this curtain." The king said. At that moment, the frog said, "Wait, give me a few moments." Then, she rushed into a room and took off her frog-skin. When she took off her skin thinking that she would put it back on after the competition, but her husband saw the whole thing. She kept her frog-skin at the corner of the door and her husband took it and put it in the fire. From then on, she could never put her frog-skin back on again. When she went out, the curtain open. When the king looked at all the women, he found out that the woman, who was a frog was the most beautiful among all women. The third brother and his wife received the gift from the king and they lived happily ever after. The wife remained as a human being, too.
