Description:		Translation (Rita Seng Mai) Once upon a time, there was an orphan in a village. He did not have anyone to take care of him since both of his parents passed away. Most Jinghpaw people could build shelters by themselves by collecting woods from the forest. The orphan boy also built a hut for himself. There was a family near his house. They had a son too. He was smart and active. He lived happily with his parents, and they owned farms. The orphan boy didn't know how to read or write. He had no one to teach him. So, he didn't know how to farm. He always searched for fruits and vegetables in the forest to solve starvation. He did not know how to hunt as well. In the daytime, he went into the forest and searched for food. At night, he went back home. His neighbor friend told him, "You are just an animal, not human. You live in the forest like an animal." But, the orphan boy did not say anything. One day, the orphan boy went into the forest to find some fruits. There was a huge fig tree somewhere in the forest. There bore many big fig fruits. He saw that tree and wanted to eat those. So, he climbed that tree and sat on a tree fork. There, he was enjoying fig fruits. At that time, the king went hunting there. The king got tired while hunting, so he took a nap under the fig tree. The boy didn't notice that the king was sleeping under the tree. After eating fig fruits, he looked at the ground to climb down. Then, he saw the king sleeping under the tree. He was shocked and thought, "The king will get angry at me and kill me because I am above him." He stayed quietly on the tree because he was afraid. Suddenly, he wanted to fart because he ate a lot of fruits. He couldn't control himself no matter how hard he tried not to fart. But the smell was so nice because he only ate the fruits and vegetables. The king got the nice smell while taking a nap under the tree. He thought, "It's so nice. Where is this sweet smell from?" And he looked around. At that time, the orphan boy was shocked and quickly apologized, "My king! I committed such a big mistake. I was on the tree since before you came here. But I was so afraid to climb down. Then, I just stayed on it. And I couldn't control myself not to fart. I am so sorry." The king wasn't angry and told him, "It's okay. Your fart smell is nice. The neighbour boy said to himself, "How did this forest guy get that kind of nice clothes? Only the rich can wear those. How did he get those?" He said to his mom, "Mom! I also want it." His mother went to the orphan boy and accused him, "Only rich men can wear those clothes. You stole them, didn't you?" The orphan boy said, "No, I didn't. The king gifted me." They didn't believe him and said, "There is no way he would give you those. Why would he?" The boy explained, "Because my fart smell is really nice." He told them what had happened to him. The jealous friend told his mother, "I will do like him. I want nice clothes too. Cook the best dishes for me, mom." When the dishes were ready, he ate till he felt full. And then, he went to the king's palace. The jealous boy said, "My king! May I release the sweet smell for you? I can release a very nice smell too. Gift me the beautiful clothes, please." The king agreed and let him do. Then, the jealous boy farted loud. But the smell was awful because he ate only meat. At that time, the king got angry at him. The king angrily said, "You insult me!" He ordered his guards to beat fifty times on the boy's butt and let him go. So, people should not be jealous of each other. Jealousy is not good for us.
