Description: | Translation (Rita Seng Mai) Once upon a time, there were two siblings. They used to live with their mother, but she died. Only they were left in their house. They had two monkeys; one was white and the other one was black. They decided to take one donkey for each. The elder brother took the black donkey, and the younger brother took the white one. They separated their ways. They took the arrow, the bow and the horse individually. And they went their separate ways. The country where the elder brother arrived was facing food scarcity. There wasn't enough food for all people. The country where the younger brother arrived was a rich country. They arrived in different countries. They missed each other so much, but they couldn't meet. They didn't have other friends too. One day, the younger brother sent a needle to his brother by a carrier crow. He sent it to his brother. When the elder brother received the gift his brother sent, he thought, "My brother misses me so much from the bottom of his heart." The next time, the younger brother sent another gift to his elder brother. It was a thread. When the elder brother received the gift from his brother, he felt that his brother missed him. Later, there was a food scarcity in the elder brother's country. The citizens were in trouble. Then the elder brother packed the grain husks and sent them to his younger brother. When the younger brother accepted those husks, he instantly knew, "Oh, these are husks. My brother may probably not have any grains to eat. I should help him." Then he quickly went to the king and told him about his brother's country. And he took his elder brother to his country where there was no scarcity. In the end, the two brothers lived happily together. Transcription (Lu Awng) Moi kalang mi hta da ndai kahpu kanau shang nau lahkawng nga ai da.
