Description: | Translation (Htoi San) A long time ago, a man who was very good at cheating lived in a hamlet. He cheated on his friends in many ways every day. He did not tell the truth to the elders according to the elders' way, the children to the children's way, and his youth friends to their youth way. Therefore the people from his entire village discussed and agreed, "We have to kill that man as he lied to us a lot." They had a meeting, and the villagers said, "Yes, sure. He lied to us very much, so let's kill him." The villagers arrested that man after they had the meeting. They put him in an ordinary light open basket. Then they hung the open basket together with him at the waterfall. He was hung on a branch of a tree on the waterfall. The villagers said, "We will come back tomorrow to kill this man." Then they all went home. They went home that night. A businessman rode on a horse bringing cows and passed when it was almost sunset, but there was still light. When the stranger passed by and found the lair man, he was amazed and asked, "Hey friend, what are you doing there?" The cheater man answered, "I am watching the sunset and feel satisfied. I always watch it from here." "I am so happy," the liar responded. So the businessman replied, "E friend if you are so joyful, I also want to watch from there." "I desire to watch it as I want to be happy too. In my life, I always fight and argue with my friends who are cattlemen. So I am not satisfied. I also want to sit like you and enjoy myself. I desire to be happy watching the sunset." Then the businessman took down the cheater from the hanging. The liar told the businessman, "Hey friend, as you desire, you can get into that basket and watch the sunset." Afterward, he hung the businessman in the basket and put it back. He told the businessman, "Friend, I will come back tomorrow," and then he continued, "I will feed your cows." Then he brought all the cows. He went back to his village. The people from his village saw him and said, "Oh! Oh! The man we wanted to kill and hang as he lied to us a lot came back." So the villagers asked him, "We put you in a far and high place not to come out easily, but how did you get out?" "I came back after taking these cows and horses from the waterfall," he replied. Even though the villagers knew he was a great liar, they believed him whenever he lied. They said, "Wow! If there are many cows and cattle, bring us there." All the male villagers followed the cheater. When they reached a place, the liar said, "The place is over there. Deeper abandoned place over there, I entered and took the cows." When all the men from his village looked down from the edge, he knocked them down. From that day onwards, there was no man in his hamlet. Therefore, we could only do the job with thinking and computing. Transcription (La Ring) Moi shawng de da mare kahtawng langai mi kaw da e grai masu sha chye ai la langai mi nga ai da.
