Description: | Translation (Rita Seng Mai) A long time ago, there was a man who had three daughters in a village. One day, there was a big storm in the country where they lived. They had to move to another country because of it. The father was a trader. He did goods shipping. He traded goods with ships. All of his three daughters became grown-up ladies at that time. When he came back from work, he always brought gifts for his daughters. The eldest daughter loved the best quality clothes. The second daughter loved beautiful things. And the youngest daughter loved flowers. One day, the father went sailing to trade goods. When he arrived at a village, he saw a beautiful flower field. Then, he went to that place. But there was a lion in that flower field. It was a big lion. The lion asked him, "Why did you come here?" He said, "I just want a flower for my daughter." It asked him, "For whom is it?" He answered, "It is for my youngest daughter. She loves flowers." Then, the lion said, "Bring your daughter to me." He refused, "How can I bring my daughter to a beast like you? I can't! You might eat my daughter." It said, "I won't eat her." Then, he took one flower. He took the flower for his daughter. When he arrived home, he gave presents to each daughter. And he gave the beautiful flower to the youngest daughter. As soon as she received the flower, she smelled it. At that time, she felt something strange. Actually, the lion was a prince and a husband-to-be. The youngest daughter wanted to go to that flower field. She told her father, "Take me there, father." He said, "I can't take you there. It's really dangerous." Later, she followed her father when he went trading next time. They arrived at the flower field soon. There was the lion waiting for them too. It told her, "Live with me here." She agreed to live with him, but her father didn't agree. He said angrily, "How dare a beast to tell me to marry my daughter!? I can't give my permission." Then, the lion told his father-in-law, "Please, close your eyes for a moment." Surprisingly, the lion turned itself into a handsome boy. He was a handsome boy. At that time, the father gave his permission to let the boy marry his daughter. Therefore, the boy and the girl lived in the flower field happily.
