Description:Translation (Rita Seng Mai) The title of the story is 'a thief'. Once upon a time, there was a village. There lived a teacher in that village. She loved the students very much. And there was a student called Naw Di. He was used to stealing things. But no one knew he was stealing things. No one suspected him. But the teacher knew that Naw Di was used to stealing objects. So, she told him not to steal things anymore. Obviously, he didn't listen to her. He still thought to steal things. One night, he tried to steal things from a rich man's house. But the camera was recording him when he did the actions. The police arrested him. When the teacher heard the bad news, she went to see her student. She requested the police, "Can you please set him free? I will teach him not to steal things from others anymore." Then, the police set him free. But Naw Di was angry at his teacher, "Why did you save me?" She told him gently, "Don't say like that. I just want you to be a good person." But he didn't listen to her and went out from the police station angrily. He went to another village where many wealthy people lived. He still worked as a thief. But no one knew he was a thief. One day, he was sitting under a tree and thinking to himself, "I will steal things from a wealthy man's house. At that time, he noticed that there was something dark behind him. He was furious and asked, "Who are you? Are you kidding me!?" But the dark shadow didn't answer anything. So, he quickly grabbed that person and stabbed her with a dagger. Then, he heard a groan like 'ah!' He quickly removed the black mask on that person's face and found out it was his teacher. The teacher said her last words, "I will die for you. Don't ever steal from now on." And then she died. Transcription (La Ring) Gabaw gaw lagu lagut ai wa a lam. Moi shawng de da i mare langai mi nga ai da.
