Description:		Translation (Htoi San) It is a story about becoming a rainbow. A long time ago, a man had two wives, and the first wife passed away. The first wife gave birth to a daughter, and she was grown up with the stepmother. The second wife did not like the girl from the first wife. The stepmother tortured the girl to death, but the girl stayed with strength to live on. One day, the stepmother gave her a lot of work to do. She endured and worked as she was given, but her stepmother told her husband. "I will not stay with you if you don't lead your daughter astray. I will go back home." The second wife always told this to her husband. It was also difficult for the husband to stay between her daughter and his second wife, so he finally abandoned his daughter. He packed a rice pack and abandoned the daughter in the forest, but she came back at night. She went home and stayed under the house. Her father found her and knew her daughter remained under the house, so he dropped food while eating. When he ate meat, he dropped it under the house, and his wife found out later. The second wife said angrily, "Alright, husband, if you don't abandon her this time, I will not live with you forever." However, the father could not let his daughter go away and did not dare to do so as he took pity on her. He still fed his daughter despite the stepmother. Ultimately, the father could not stand his second wife's anger, so he called his daughter and sent her to a very far place. The girl knew her father and stepmother did not like her, so she tried to stay by herself. She looked for food beside a small stream, like prawns and crabs, and ate them to survive. She searched for big crabs on a giant slab of stone. One day, while she was looking for food, it was raining, so she was struck by lightning. From that time onwards, she became a rainbow.
