Description: | Translation (Htoi Awng) The story which I am going to tell is about a five members family. Long time ago, there were a five-member in a family. They were very poor. They hadn't got much money. The parents couldn't afford to send their children to school. Since there was no school in the village, they had to go to the town to attend the school. It was very difficult for them. Then, a lady from a rich family told them, "Work hard to get some money. And send your children to school." They said, "But people are not hiring now." The eldest child heard that and tried to find a job. He said, "Mom! I don't want to go to school anymore." The mother said, "It's ok, my son. I will work hard and send you to school." But he said, "No, I don't want to." Then, she said, "Okay then. Don't go to school. Although you don't want to go to school, your brothers and sisters need to go." She tried hard in earning some money. The parents collected the woods and sold them to get some money. And they sent their children to school. They sold the woods. Then, they got a few money. They could afford the school fees for their children. And they got rich little by little. They could collect more woods and could save much money. They could provide their children's school fees. They were very happy. They said, "We can afford to send our children to school." They were glad. One day, when the mother sent her child to school, she saw a granny crying. So, she asked the grandmother, "Why are you crying?" The grandmother said, "Me? I am crying because I don't have any money." She said, "Then, I will help you." The granny accepted her help and said, "I will not forget how you help me. I will definitely repay my gratitude." She said, "Alright." And she took the grandmother to her house. She let her stay there. She treated her very well. The grandmother stayed happily there. She cooked the delicious food for the grandmother. She and her husband didn't let her do anything. They showered her and took care of her health too. They got richer than before since the grandma blessed upon them. After some time, the granny told them, "I will go back to my house." They said, "Okay. We will send you back." They helped the grandmother going back to her house. The children's mother said, "Wait a minute. I will go and take your belongings." Then, she took the grandmother to the car gate and put all of the grandmother's belonging into the car. After she sent the grandmother there, she thought, "I have to pick my children up from school", and she went back. She picked her children up from the school. On their way back home, she said to her children, "My children, you shouldn't insult the parents and shouldn't talk back. Alright?" The children said, "Yes, we won't. We will help the needy and elderly people anywhere and anytime." The children were kind-hearted. The mother was so happy when her children said like that. When they arrived home, the mother said, "My children, I will go to collect the woods." And she went somewhere to collect the woods. She got much woods and carried them. While she was going back home, she lost the way. It was getting dark too. She was very worried because the more she walked, the farther way back home was. Then she realized that she lost the way. She thought to herself, "I didn't come from this way. I used that way when I came here. For tonight, I will just sleep here." So, she decided to sleep in the jungle. The next morning, she carried the woods and went back home. On the other hand, the children were at home and said, "Dad! Mom is not coming back yet." The father said, "Yes. Let's find your mother!" And then, they were finding the mother. But they couldn't find her. Meanwhile, the mother was coming back straight to her home. At that time, a giant snake swallowed her.
