Description: | Translation (Rita Seng Mai) The story I'm going to tell is about a woman. She was an orphan in her village. She had to work harder than other people because she was so poor. Then one man felt pity for her and got married to her. The man was rich. He was a trader. He married her. Soon, she was pregnant. Her husband had to go to another town because of his business. He told her, "You live in this house." Her parents-in-law disliked her. They drove her out of the house while her husband was away. And they told their son, "Your wife is dead." She just walked away. She gave birth alone, too. She stayed at a shanty resthouse. She was quite thirsty, so she wrapped her baby in fabric and put him there. Then she went to take some water. The place was a bit far from there, so she took some time. Meanwhile, travellers saw the baby and thought, "He is a newborn baby. It seems like his parents abandoned him here." And they took the baby with them. When she came back, her baby was not there. She was really upset. Then the leader of the robbers saw her and took her as his wife. The leader of the robbers didn't like her so much, so he bullied and beat her. Soon, she carried the baby of the robber. She gave birth to a baby girl. While her husband was going out to rob, she was putting the baby to sleep in a cradle. Unfortunately, the baby fell from it. The baby's head was injured and bleeding. She was totally shocked and scared, "When he comes back and sees the baby, I will definitely be killed tonight." Therefore, she just ran away. She just ran away. Time had passed. Many years had already passed. Later, she lived together another trader. Soon, he took a young woman home. Then she automatically became the first wife. Her new husband lived with his second wife. She was upset, but she held back because she was an orphan. One day, she was looking for medicine for the second wife. She saw a scar on her forehead, so she thought, "She really looks like the baby I accidentally dropped." She asked her about it. It turned out that the second wife was her daughter. They were mother and daughter, but they had the same husband. Not very long after, she found out that her young husband was her son, whom the travellers adopted. She was the wife of her son, unintentionally. She was embarrassed and couldn't get over it. In the end, she suicided.
