Description:		Translation (Htoi San) I am telling a story about how Kachin men were very smart, intelligent, and mature. Once upon a time, a Kachin man looked like puny, but his brain was so energetic. He could think what people could not believe, and he could know what people did not know and have any idea. He had a sharp intelligence and a genius brain. One day, he competed against a man from another tribe in a debate. The Burmese man did not win against him even though they had competed for quite a long time. Therefore, they talked about meeting another day. The Burmese man said to him, "You have a great brain, but you cannot win against me this time. You won't beat me." The Kachin man replied, "I can beat you anytime so that I can win against you this time too." "Alright then. Let's defeat each other with wisdom!" "Now, let's compete ourselves with knowledge. If I win this time, you will lose me forever. If I win this time, I am the man who wins all the time," said the Kachin guy, and they started their competition. What they challenged was that the Kachin boy told the other man to bring a thread. Then he tied and tied until it was complicated. After that, he said, "Alright, let's loosen it." "I will untie what you knotted." "I will loosen what you have tied and you untie what I have knotted," they agreed to each other. At last, the Kachin man brought a fastened thread and gave it to the Burmese man, "Take it and untie it." The Burmese guy untied it and unfastened it for many days but did not loosen it. The more he untied, the more complicated it was. He untied it all but could not finish, so he told the Kachin man, "I cannot untie it." The Burmese man asked the Kachin man to untie the thread knot. The Kachin man loosened the thread repeatedly and could untie it successfully in the end. The Kachin man asked, "Alright, now you untie what I fastened and messed up." The Kachin man asked the Burmese to untie a sponge gourd, "Unfasten this sponge gourd one by one and pull it down without breaking." That foreign man tried to untie and pull it down, but the more he pulled, the more it broke. He could not undo it even though he tried. In the end, he lost the race. The foreign man did not reach the brain level of the Kachin man, so he became famous day by day. He had the brain which everyone respected. Our ancestors told us about this story long ago.
