Description: | Translation (Rita Seng Mai) This is about everything happens is for the good. There was a king in a kingdom. He caught leprosy and lost his fingers. He called his servants for a meeting. He called everyone for a meeting. He sadly told them about his infection. Everyone felt pity for the king. Then, one of his officials told him, "My king, everything happens to be good. You caught leprosy to be good." But his words infuriated the king. The king thought, "My citizens are upset for me. How could he say like that!?" One day, the king went to another country accompanied by that official and servants. They arrived at a small village first. There was a big well there. The king ordered his servants, "Throw that 'everything is good' official into that well!" Then, they resumed their journey. After they had passed one country, they met mean and wicked nats. They met those nats. They arrested the king who was affected by leprosy. The mean nats arrested the king. They prepared to offer a sacrifice. They needed a person with a good body, nothing broken. They could offer only that kind of person as a sacrifice. When they checked the king's body, they saw the king didn't have ten fingers. So they released him. When the king was released, he thought, "I was wrong. My official told me that everything that happened was good. It is true." Then he ordered his servants, "Save him quickly." They saved the man. This is the end of the story. Transcription (La Ring) Ya ngai byin mabyin kaja ai ngu ai maumwi i.
