Description: | Translation (Rita Seng Mai) In March or April, I am going to talk about children who don't listen to their parents. This is about how parents teach them. In our highland areas, we clean the fields or farms every year. There was a family with a son in a village. It was really sunny that day. The mother was thirsty. She was really thirsty. When they burned the grass and weeds, she got thirsty because of the hot temperature. So she called her son, "My son, come here. Go and get some water from the stream for me, please." The son was lazy and didn't want to go under the sun, so he didn't get water for his mother. She felt upset and thought, "My son didn't get some water for me although I requested him." Soon, she got dehydrated and died there. Then, the son became an eagle and flew up into the sky. It flew up in the sky. He didn't have parents then. He said, "Mom, mom," and was flying in the sky. He had to suffer trouble because of his actions toward his mother. Nowadays, children don't want to do what their parents tell them to do. When someone says 'can you bring it to me?' or 'bring it to me,' the children will refuse to do it. Our children are like that. This story is to teach those types of children.
