Description: | Translation (Gun Mai) Long long ago, there were two brothers. They had a father but their father married another woman, stepmother. The stepmother was bad and he said to her husband that "I don't want to see these two brothers. Send them to the forest." So, the father persuaded his two children with snacks and said that "Let's go to the forest to collect the firewood." The man carried them on an ox cart along with the snacks and went to the forest. On the way, the two children knew that their father planned to abandon them in the forest. So, they did not eat the snack and dropped pieces of the snack along the way. After the snack of the elder brother was ran out, the snack of the younger brother was made to pieces and was dropped throughout the way. When they got to the deep forest, the father said that "You two stay here for a moment. I will go and cut a tree. Just wait for me here. I will come back and bring you back. Just a moment." Then, the father straightly returned home. The only two brothers were left in the forest and they said that "Our father has abandoned us." So, they looked at the pieces of the snack that they dropped and returned home. When they got home, they called their father. At that time, the stepmother said to her husband that "Husband, you said you sent the two children. They are coming back now." Then, the stepmother did not want the two children so she asked her husband to send the two children on the next day. So, the father of the two children sent the two children again on the next day. The man also brought their dog. On that day, the man brought the two children to the deeper forest, which was more far than yesterday. The two children were asked to sit there and the man also killed the dog so the knife of the man was with the blood of the dog. The man then said to the two children that "I will just go there for a moment. I will come back to you." And, he left his children and returned home. The two brothers were just living in the forest. The man showed his knife to his wife and said that "See here, I killed the two children. I really killed them this time." The wife said that OK then. The two brothers were living in the forest until it got dark so they understood that their father abandoned them. So, from the following day, they picked the fruits and ate to survive in the forest. When they trying to pick the fruit, the younger brother did not know how to climb a tree, so the elder brother climbed the tree. Then, the elder brother dropped the fruits for his younger brother, while he ate fruit on the tree. At that time, a witch rode on a flat rock and drove it with a stick. The flat rock was just moved when it was driven with a stick. The elder brother saw the witch from the tree and noted how the witch was driving the flat rock. When the witch was approaching them, the witch saw the younger brother. The witch did not see the elder brother because he was on the tree. The witch then said that "I am very hungry now. I will eat you." The elder brother also had a knife. The elder brother said to the witch that "Old woman, don't eat my younger brother yet. Try first the fruit of this tree. It is very delicious. You can eat my younger brother after you eat the fruit." "OK, let me try the fruit first," the witch said. Then, the elder brother said that "If you really want to eat the fruit, come under this tree and open your mouth. Also, close your eyes." Then, the elder brother put his knife in the fruit and dropped the fruit into the mouth of the witch. The knife was pierced into the throat of the witch so the witch fell there and died. After the witch died, the elder brother came down from the tree and drove the flat rock. They did not know the way to returned home so they reached another country. In the country, there was a stream that was used by all the people including the king. The elder brother drove the flat rock and he blocked the stream with the flat rock. Thus, the whole country could not use the water anymore. So, the king announced that "The stream was blocked by the flat rock." The king ordered his people to push the rock but they can't move it because the flat rock was just able to move with the stick. So, the king was depressed so he announced that "If there is anyone who can remove the rock, I will give a half of the country." The two brothers were living as orphaned children in a house and doing the necessary works for the house. The younger brother was saying that "We two know it. We two know it." So, the elder brother was worried that other people might hear what the younger brother said so he closed the mouth of the younger brother. Then, the two brothers said to the king that "We can remove the flat rock." "OK, if you two can remove the flat rock, remove it," the king said. At night, the elder brother took the stick that he hid and drove the flat rock, and removed it from the stream. So, the stream flowed again as normal. Because the stream flowed again as normal, the king changed his mind and said that "I can't give the half of my country anymore." Even the adult people could not remove the rock and only the two little children removed the rock. So, the king did not want to give half of the country. When the king said "I can't give anymore," the stream was blocked again. The king was depressed again and said that "Please remove the rock again. I will really give half of my palace this time." The two brothers also drove the flat rock and removed it again. After the rock was removed, the king gave them half of the country and let them rule. When they were ruiing half the country, the place where their father and stepmother lived faced famine. So, they came to this country and asked for food. The stepmother sent his husband to ask for food. When their father asked for food, they said that "We can't give food." The father returned home and said that "They said that they can't give food." The two brothers wanted to kill the stepmother. So, their father was asked to bring the stepmother. Thus, the father and the stepmother came together and asked for food. When they asked for food, the two children said that "Stepmother, you asked our father to kill us in the past. Now you came to us to ask for food." Since the stepmother was very cruel, the two children ordered their people to kill the stepmother. Then, the two children lived happily together with their father in that country.
