Description: | Translation (Htoi San) This story is about a fox and a water bird. One day, the fox invited the water bird for dinner. The fox cooked a lot of food and asked to be his guest for dinner at his home. Even though the fox invited the water bird to eat dinner, he had a dirty mind. Then, when he served rice to the bird, he placed it on the plate. He put the rice on the flat plate. As the water bird had a long beak, it was difficult for the bird to pick rice from the container. So the bird could not eat anything. The fox intentionally did this with his dirty mind to the water bird. As the water bird could not have anything to eat, dinner was meaningless for the bird. Therefore, the bird was sad. The bird was so unhappy as he felt that his close friend had this kind of behavior and was poorly treated at dinner. He went back with sorrow. One day, the water bird talked to his fox friend again. He requested the fox to join dinner with him. He placed the food in the pot. He put the food inside the small pot and gave it to the fox to eat. The fox had a short mouth, so he could not have it. The fox could not get anything to eat, and he had difficulty. Therefore, this story teaches people "what we sow, what we reap." Transcription (La Ring) E ya na maumwi gaw ga gwi hte hka u na lam hku rai nga.
