Description: | Translation (by Seng Pan) This is about the crow and peacock. Long ago, many different kinds of animals lived together. The peacocks have very beautiful back feathers. Humans also like it so much. There was a black crow which loved the peacock's feathers and wanted to be beautiful like peacock. One day, he collected the peacock's feathers and stuck them on his body. Then he went and stayed with the flock of peacocks like he was one of them. But the peacocks noticed that he was quite different from them. So, they asked, "Crow, why are you here?" "I am not the crow. I am a very beautiful peacock," he answered. The peacocks insisted that he wasn't one of them and stabbed him with their beaks. They also plugged his feathers out. Not only the peacock feathers on his body but also his own black feathers were fallen off. "Get out from our place! You are not a peacock," they said and drove him out. "Go back to your place!" Sadly, he went back to his flock of crows. His friends angrily said, "Didn't you want to be a peacock? You made yourself like a peacock and went to them. But they threw you out, didn't they? You were ashamed of being one of us. Don't come back to us! Get lost!" And he was abandoned by his flocks. Transcription (by Lu Awng) Utawng hte uhka na lam i.
