Description:		Translation (by Seng Pan) This is a story which has been told as a bedtime story to the children by the elders. We listen to it many times. But we don't get bored with it. We still like it so much. That story is about Hkanghtang Mangbya (this name is for the people or animals which always lie and tease others). In this story, Hkanghtang Mangbya is a rabbit. It was intelligent and good at lying. It always lied and teased around the village. As it was intelligent and good at lying, it always could escape from death. One day, it went to a forest. At one place, it had to cross a river. There lived a mythical serpent. When the rabbit crossed the river, the mythical serpent caught it and kept in its mouth. It was thinking how it could save its own life. Then the mythical serpent said, "Now I can eat you. You will not be able to escape this time." The rabbit replied, "If you are the king of this forest, you should not just chuckle. You have to laugh heartily like a winner." The mythical serpent also believed what it said. So, it laughed loudly and shouted, "I can eat you. Ha Ha Ha!" While it opened its mouth wide, the rabbit jumped out. As it was smart, it could run away from danger.
