The first triplet was ka1 ‘writing’ ka2 ‘going’ and ka³, of which he was not sure of the meaning. Rabe talked about these as Tone 1, Tone 2 and Tone 3. Tone 1 appears to be Tone class 3, tone 2 = Tone class 1 and Tone 3 = Tone class 2. Also further discussion of mang. nst-gln_20140606_02_SM_H4n_Rabe_ToneTriplets_Duration 1’14”, Tone minimal triplets ma 1 - ‘give’, 2 -‘ghost’ 3- ‘type of monkey that covers its eyes when meeting humans’ nst-gln_20140606_03_SM_H4n_Rabe_ToneTriplets_Duration 1’19”, Discussion about the meaning of ma1, which is used to refer to the giving of a gift when you first meet someone. | |
