Their original home was said to be near an ocean. This story tells how they crossed Burma, crossing the Tanai River at Tanai Waukrap. He did go on to talk about the Hewa coming as far as Dibrugarh. During that time the American or English people gave that from the Brahmaputra one side would be the Ahom kingdom and the other side would be the Hewa are, and yet another side, the Vijaynagar side, would be for the Adi. He mentions that the Sema and Hewa (Tangsa) were brothers, the Sema was the younger brother and Hewa older brother. He also gave the names of various Tangsa group in Mossang, including the fact that Ronra (Rera/Ronrang) was originally called Ronching. nst-mos_20121031_09_SM_T_Womlung_History_Duration 4’54”, About when the Mossangs came from the Chin side, they first stayed in Myitkyina, at that time there were more 600 Hewa (Tangsa) houses there. Then they reached the Tanai place, and he tells the story of crossing the Tanai river, following the way that the pigs crossed the river. This place is therefore called Tanai Wakrap.
