He is past 65. He is a well-traveled person and is very much interested in language and linguistics. A times, the conversation diverges from the medical topic to the linguistic interests of the professional person. The SL investigator was present during the whole encounter and helped the informant to understand through verbal (SL) and non verbal cues. He was seated in such a position that he could be seen both by the informant and the doctor.
