Description:		The speaker talks about the tradition that existed in the past of giving food to others. If you were carrying game and met some people, you were obliged to give it to them. If you did not want to give it to them, you would have to hide. If they saw you, you had to hand it over. If people observed you following this tradition, they would mark you as a suitor for one of their own children. Similarly, if you heard that people needed something like water or betelnut, and you provided them with it, they would have a good opinion of you. If you did not follow this tradition, people would say that you had not been educated properly at home or amongst the Upe. Nowadays, everything is based on money, and this tradition is not followed.
