Description:		This is one in a series of video files that were shot during a communal meeting held in front of the chief's palace in Ajumbu. This meeting was organized (by both researchers and local community elders) in order to start gathering some Ajumbu ethnohistorical information and samples of local verbal art performances. In this very video, Sah Nicholas introduces Ajumbu history and institutions. He offers a (partial) list of chiefs and recalls some key features of the main chiefs (especially the first one, Nte Ku). History, functions, and owners of Ajumbu's principal secret associations (houses of Ntshuin) are also mentioned. He also mentions the days of the week, and emphasizes the importance of the documentary work being done for the future of the Ajumbu community. Upon his request, Mbam Elizabeth (an important lady, member in the village's principal secret associations) sings a traditional song focused on the last part of the migration of Ajumbu people from Betsema (down-valley) to the current village location.
