| Description: | The story of T and his uncle. They lived in a village. And T killed a pig and a dog. And they sent them both away (T and his/her uncle). T child and his sister they took a banana sack (bia): the kirokiro banana and they went up (inside the banana sack) and they arrived at one village. They stayed there and they planted banana sack. The banana fruited and it was ready. It was ripe. And Ta’alu (the child) said to his sister: don’t eat the banana fruit, I will go to hunt in the bush. After that she (the sister) ate the fruit (T). And she died. T. came back home and he called, and his sister didn’t answer. He went to look for her and she was dead and he said “ she ate the banana fruit I forbade her to eat’. Zogo tribe can’t eat this banana – it’s taboo. So this story tells Zogo people not to eat that type of banana. Disobedience is no good – the sister died because she didn’t do as she was told. | |
