Description: | Rabbit and Firefly went to hunt for eggs in the forests and each time they found eggs Rabbit claimed that they belong to him. Firefly became upset and went home leaving Rabbit groping in the darkness until he saw light in a distant place. When he got there it was his enemy Leopard but he pretended he was on a courtesy visit and gave all the eggs to him. Leopard was kind enough to host him and he prepared the eggs and gave Rabbit some. Rabbit refused to eat claiming he was full. Knowing Rabbit and his tricks Leopard asked his children to put a scorpion on some of the eggs and leave it to stand in the yard. At midnight Rabbit went to steal the fried eggs to eat and was stung by the scorpion so he was crying and when Leopard asked him he confessed. So Leopard asked him to collect a drop of fat from his big billy goat in the yard to treat it. Rabbit took advantage and hit the goat and the fat dropped so Rabbit could eat it. For a long time he did not return and Leopard decided to have a look, and Rabbit said he was still in pain. So Leopard hit the goat and gave Rabbit a big drop of fat and he ate it and said he was fine. Rabbit quickly asked for permission to go home against Leopard's wish. He left and returned with hyena to steal the goat. Unknown to Rabbit and Hyena Leopard had put the rope on his own neck and when half way through and lightening flashed Rabbit realised it was Leopard so he quickly left it for hyena and said he would see him tomorrow. By the time Rabbit got home and was telling his wife about the trouble hyena was sending to his house his wife told him Leopard was already in their home waiting for him. Rabbit had to play a trick and again escaped to the forest with his family. This is why he now lives in the forest. | |
