| Description: | In this text, we meet Mrs. Rahime Rahimi, the eldest daughter of linguistic consultant no. 1, Mrs. Askari. Only at the time of the interview, I realized that Mrs. Rahimi was related to Mrs. Askari. Mrs. Rahimi is a professional weaver and she is using this skill of hers to support herself and her family. Her husband had an accident some years ago, which made live very difficult for the family, and they also have a handicapped daughter, who needs her parents’ support even though she is over 25. Her other children are all married. She talks in this text about her children and the death of one of them, about weaving, about her husband and the Galeshi-occupation. She is also sad about the changes which are taking place in the village and the social differences that are escalating due to the influx of people from Gorgan and even from Tehran, who build summer cottages in and around Ziarat. | |
