Description: | This is a folk tale about the "ixtahnyoora7" or "la sirena" who lives in the river and is the owner or queen of all the fishes. She steals a man to live with her in the river. She gives him food and shelter but the man does not like it because it is too cold. There is no fire in the river. The siren is used to it but not he. The story ends with the man returning to his old wife who asks him where he has been. He does not remember. | |
