| Description: | Elicitation of the Kalahari Basin Area 700 wordlist (credit: Christfried Naumann 2011) for the Serowe lect of Tshwa, known locally as Tchoe, Tcoa, or Tcibitcoa. Each word is elicited twice in isolation and twice within a sentence frame. The different frames are designed to trigger various different grammatical features. | |
| This bundle contains six audio recordings. Approximately half of the 700 word list and example sentences have provisional annotations (transcription, translation, glossing: Sept 2017). This is work-in-progress (09/2017) and the files will continue to be updated and corrected. The session is accompanied by video documentation: unfortunately, due to a technical issue, the first half of the session was not successfully filmed. | ||
| Lee is the linguist on the project and has worked with different San communities in Namibia and Botswana since 2011. | ||
| Lerothodi acted as the main translator for the project, translating to and from English and Setswana. | ||
