Description:		Esta sesión fue grabada en un viaje a Camusu Aike, el territorio tehuelche comunitario donde nació y se crio Dora Manchado. El video está dividido en varias partes, porque se trata de un viaje largo de todo el día. Se necesitan cerca de dos horas para llegar hasta el territorio. En el camino hablamos sobre algunos animales y sobre el paisaje. Después de haber almorzado en el paraje de La Esperanza entramos a una estancia a visitar a un amigo de Dora, que no encontramos. Describimos el paisaje y contamos algunas anécdotas sobre el lugar (por qué se llama “la bajada de la vieja”). Paramos en el cartel de bienvenidos del lugar, escrito en Tehuelche de una forma poco comprensible. Dora nos cuenta cómo se dice “bienvenidos” y “grupo” o “comunidad de tehuelches”. Los encuentros de aquel día en Camusu Aike no fueron filmados. Al visitar a una mujer del lugar, vimos que estaba haciendo fajas a telar. No quiso ser filmada, pero intentamos que Dora nos contara cómo se hacía esa actividad. La situación era tensa y había mucho ruido (de fondo estaban transmitiendo un partido del Mundial de Fútbol). Al salir del territorio Dora nos cuenta alguna anécdota de su infancia y la conversación sigue en torno de recuerdos y del paisaje, hasta que vemos las luces de “La Esperanza”. En esa ocasión fuimos también al cementerio de la comunidad (donde hoy descansa Dora), para visitar la tumba de los padres de Dora, de su hijo y de su hermana. Dora insistió para filmarlo, pero luego pidió que el video fuera borrado. This is the recording of a trip to Camusu Aike, the Tehuelche territory – the place where Dora Manchado was born and where she grew up. The video is divided into several parts, because it is an all-day trip. The travel time between Río Gallegos and Camusu Aike is around two hours. On the way we talked about some animals and about the landscape. After having lunch at the small village of La Esperanza, we entered a ranch to visit a friend of Dora, whom we did not find. We then describe the landscape and some anecdotes about the place (like “why do they call this place the Old Woman’s hill). We stop stop at the ‘welcome’ road sign, written in Tehuelche in a way that is not very comprehensible. Dora tells us how to say "welcome" and “group of Tehuelche”. We didn’t film the encounters in Camusu Aike that day. Still, when we visited a local woman, we found out she was making shawls at a loom. She did not want to be filmed and so we tried to get Dora to tell us how this activity was done, but the situation was tense, and there was a lot of noise. When leaving the territory, Dora told us some anecdotes of her childhood. Then we kept on talking about souvenir and the landscape till we see the lights of La Esperanza again. On that occasion we also went to the community cemetery - where Dora rests today - to visit the grave of Dora's parents, her son and her sister. Dora insisted on filming it, but she then asked us to erase that video.
		Dora Manchado was regarded as the 'last speaker' of her language.
