In this session, there are some role-playing games: master and servant, mother and child, a married couple discussing. At the beginning of this documentation, we had made a role play to learn the uses of the imperative (recorded after lunch in Dora Manchado’s kitchen on July 6th) and to apply it in other examples - especially with the youngest ones. Faced with the failure of the community meetings, we abandoned the idea, but we used it again on the afternoon of a day that had already been "productive". We noticed that the humor - and the language - used after dinner or during the aperitivo were very different than after lunch. We wanted to amuse Dora with her work and the result is these moments almost ridiculous and certainly light, but surprising because of the spontaneous use of the language. The dialogues of these role-playing games reveal a fresh language, full of expressions often calqued from Spanish, which is probably much closer to the use it previously had. The strength of some expressions is proof of resistance and transformation. The audio-only file is a small role play where a man is trying to seduce a woman in a bar, recorded on a night car ride, on July 18th.
Dora Manchado was regarded as the 'last speaker' of her language.
