| Description: | In the past, at the end of a funeral when the guests were about to go back home, drinks would be offered to them in a yak horn. First, they would be offered tea and needed to sing the tea song; second, they would be offered sweet rice wine and needed to sing the ale song; third and last, they would be offered liquor, and by then people would already be drunk. | |
| This man had learned all the rituals as the assistant of a priest@ who since passed away. While priests rely on the scriptures which they read during rituals@ helpers should know the rituals by heart and rely on their memory@ since they are expected to hand the priest the correct paraphernalia at the correct times and conduct appropriate movements accompanying the rituals. Thus@ this helper could recite rituals from memory. | ||
