| Description: | Ku Rgyamtsho pronounces a blessing for a Coming-of-age ritual. The coming-of-age ritual (lit. putting on trousers or putting on a skirt - adult clothes) is conducted around 13 years of age after which boys and girls would be considered adults. Blessings will be pronounced by older people on this occasion. | |
| This man had learned all the rituals as the assistant of a priest@ who since passed away. While priests rely on the scriptures which they read during rituals@ helpers should know the rituals by heart and rely on their memory@ since they are expected to hand the priest the correct paraphernalia at the correct times and conduct appropriate movements accompanying the rituals. Thus@ this helper could recite rituals from memory. | ||
