| Description: | Pak Jan Pelleng watches a video which depicts the process of making hardened palm sugar from the palm sugar sap of the sugar palm tree. He narrates each of the stages of the process while he watches it. The short film which Pak Jan Pelleng watches is located in bundle TNW_15_BS_06102016. The video footage for this session was recorded on a Zoom Q8. The .mov format has been converted to .mp4 using the Handbrake program. The audio was also recorded on a Zoom Q8 in .wav format using a Rode Lavalier lapel microphone. This bundle includes an ELAN project (.eaf) file with baseline transcription, word-level transcription, and free translation in English. The information in this .eaf file is intended as a preliminary analysis of the data. Additional analysis is currently ongoing with the aim of producing a more detailed description of the phonology, morphology, and syntax. | |
