| Description: | This is the second part of a series of conversatons with Mr Bunkula Gaido about a terrace-farm he was preparing. In this recording, he tells more about his c.a 15 years experience in terrace farming. There were a number of onlookers including his daughter and son and a neighbour man. The audio recording was made by research assitant Asmelash. Azeb made a corresponding vidoe recording. Initial transcription of the session was made on a booklet by Abboye Alade using the Gamo script. Later the audio file is segmented and transcribed in Praat by assistant Endale Eyasu who also used the Gamo script plus some special symbols (e.g. using capital letters to represent vowels that are marked high tone-accent. The researcher (Azeb Amha) converted the transcription to IPA symbols and made some corrections. | |
