Pueden ser preparadas en té para tomarse como agua de tiempo o bien se pueden remojar en aguardiente, bebiéndolo en copas. Hace efecto, dejando suave la parte donde está la vesícula biliar. Fermín comenta que cuando la vesícula biliar duele, desde el exterior del cuerpo se siente una bola dura. Al tomar este tratamiento se suaviza. El tratamiento se bebe por las mañanas y en las tardes. También puede aliviarse el enfermo calentándole el estómago solamente con ceniza caliente, envolviéndola con hojas de plátano y un trapo. Al sentir mejor, el enfermo nuevamente tiene apetito para comer.
