Description:Older man from Sahartara talks about his successful yarsagumpa business: how he and the villagers collect the yarsa, go to the Chinese border (previously on foot, but now they're rich they have horses) then they trade the yarsa for money and goats and drive the goats to Pokhara to exchange for gold and other goods they need.
Originally from Gumbatara. Mother from Sahartara. Grew up speaking Kaike and Tichurong (Poike Tibetan) in Dolpa. Speaks Kaike on a daily basis, but uses Nepali and English for his trekking business and for his studies. Has done research on Kaike rituals. First recorded on 10 Dec 2017.
