Description: | This session was recorded in Gorkha. Ram Bahadur Baram was not used to for recording so we had to train him before this session. As a Baram speaker, he is experienced in different Baram cultures. First we discussed with him about how different cultures are celebrated in Baram community. After two attempts we were successful to record this session.
This project aims to document Baram, a seriously endangered language of Nepal, for its preservation and promotion. For this purpose, we will develop a corpus of the various texts of the Baram language and thereby prepare resources such as its sketch grammar, lexicon and ethnographic profile. To revitalize the language, we will develop Baram orthography and prepare a Baram primer to facilitate its use in basic education and literacy programmes. The audio-video recordings of the Baram database will be archived with its annotation in a website for its accessibility to linguists, ethnographers and the Baram speech community.
Ram Bahadur Baram was a good speaker but not experienced in recording. In this text, he as described various kinds of cultures and about how they are celebrated. Because of his hesitation we are unable to make this session in detail. However, he has described some matters about Kartike Puja.

Mrs. Ram Bahadur Baram is a fluent speaker of Baram Language. He has good knowledge of language but doesn't seem to be a good story teller. He mainly helped us with elecitation more than with text collection.
