Description: | The siblings Illiha and Mahane Dohanbaabo perform two lyre songs, the first of which is an autobiographical song labelled ataate. Apart from Baskeet the first song seems to contain Goop (Gofa language) and Amharic. The song, called kari baaba, is a mourning song peformed on the lyre. Illiha is the lead singer and plays the lyre, Mahane accompanies him vocally. | |
