Description: | Two elderly men from Komata tell about the time that Dorche was the traditional leader. Sheko men went in small groups to kill a prey and would chant a song of praise on the spot. The women would come ululating and everybody would share the meat. When an elephant was killed, the right tusk was given to the kay baab, and some parts of buffalos (the right leg, the tail) were also regularly presented to him and 'era' would be sung at his compound. If proper respect was not given, the hunter could fall sick or be wounded by a buffalo. The men also shortly discuss killing enemies and 'kara'. At the end, a gozha is sung. | |
