Description: | This video shows the processes for making nasi jahe 'ginger rice' - a dish which is commonly eaten during social events in North Sulawesi. The various stages of collecting and preparing ingredients and cooking them in bamboo over an open fire is filmed. This film has been narrated by a number of speakers. The video footage was recorded using a Canon Legria HF R606 (wide shots) and a Canon Legria HF R706 (close-up shots). The raw footage was edited using Premier Pro CC software before being exported in H.264 format and re-encoded using the Handbrake program. The audio narration was recorded on a Zoom H1 in .wav format using a Rode Lavalier lapel microphone. This bundle contains narration in both the Tonsawang and Tombulu languages. Video recorded using both a Canon Legria HF R606 (wide shot) and a Canon Legria HF R706 (close up shots). MTS format has been converted to MP4 using Handbrake. There is various audio in this recording as it was recorded when a number of family members were present. It is intended that this recording will be edited into a10-20 minute video which can be used as stimulus for elicitation of linguistic data. | ||
