Description: | Kabulo and Loma demonstrate traditional Hrusso drum beats and explain to Dorjee on what occasions each of the beats is used. The session was recorded at Mr. Nima Jebisow's bamboo kitchen in Buragaon village, with three different cameras: The front view was captured by a Canon 700D DSLR, Kaulow's right hand with a Canon XA20 and his left hand with a Sony PJ540. The three video files can be viewed simultaneously using the ELAN file. For a clear and pleasant hearing, use either the ELAN file (blank as of now), or the .WAV file or the front-view video only. The sound in the latter two video files is not great - as it is directly from the inbuilt video camera mics. Kabulo is no more with us. He died in late 2016. Recording Conditions: Video as described above. Audio: Fairly quiet village surroundings in Nima Jebisow's bamboo kitchen. Echo minimised because of bamboo walls. Micropones: Audio Technica 803B lavalier omnidirectional condenser microphones - 2, one for each stereo channel, both attached to speaker's collar. Recorded on Marantz PMD 661 MK2 solid state recorder, Recording Specs: Sample rate 48000 Hz, 32 bit float. Audio recorded separately from video and mixed later with video using Windows Movie Maker. | |
