Description:The History of Taron and Mureng – Taron lies and says the sea is low tide but it is still high tide and the villagers can't collect shellfish. Taron goes and crashes his boat into the rocks where the plovers are and is noe called Plover. Mureng arrived on his boat and his wife from Wou went to get shellfish – she dropped her necklace into the rock pool then collected some turban shells and roasted and ate them. She was singing when she came home and gave the empty shells to her child, but the child could not eat them as they were like stone. This is the way of the Wunu. Linguistically this story has some interesting dialect differences as it is in the Ngeye dialect File Description: This bundle contaisn video, audio and a PDF of the FLEX output which is glossed and translated into English and Bislama
