Description:		Cristina Vásquez Hernández habla del te:mpa:waxiwit, una planta de flores rosadas que abunda por las orillas de caminos y en los cafetales. Su semilla madura se pega mucho en la ropa. Comenta que tiene una propiedad curativa y que la manera de prepararla es arrancando unas cuantas plantas con todo y raíz, lavando las raíces y hirviendo todo en medio litro de agua. Se toma para curar el mal de orín. Comenta que otra planta que se ocupa para esta misma enfermedad es el masa:owat (Costaceae: Costus sp.) que crece en las orillas de los arroyos. Sus flores son como un olote y ahí pegado tiene unas florecitas. Para la propiedad curativa se martaja el tallo, se hierve y se toma como una o dos veces. Con eso ya se cura él enfermo. Finalmente agrega que para curar esta misma enfermedad también se puede comer el tallo del masa:owat como si fuera caña.
