Description:		Juan de los Santos Dionisio menciona que hay dos tipos de eskowit. Uno sirve para leña. Otro, llamado ista:k eskowit, es mucho menos común. Incluso en los montes grandes no abunda. Comenta que el eskowit común (Croton draco Schltdl. & Cham.) florea entre enero y abril y cuando ya se madura el fruto se riega y ahí se lo comen muchas especies de aves. Comenta que ahí por el año de 1946 un maestro llamado Melitón les enseñaba cómo hacer sillas con esta madera y con la corteza del jonote (Heliocarpus spp.). Decía el maestro que iba a llegar un tiempo que no tuviera valor el café y entonces se podían mantener un poco mejor vendiendo artesanía.
