Se llama xo:kihya:kpesma porque emite un olor conocido como xo:kihya:k . Nicolás observa que las raíces del xo:kihya:kpesma no son profundas y por esto a veces esta planta se cae por sí sola. El tronco no crece muy alto; las hojas salen desde abajo y se renuevan constantemente. El tronco es hueco por dentro. No tiene utilidad como los otros tipos de pesma.
