| Description: | This 'bundle' is the 1st part of the basic word order elicitation questionnaire which has totally 513 tokens in the form of sentences. The questionnaire is divided into 9 'bundles'. This 'bundle' consists of sentences (tokens) 1 to 40. The numbers on the questionnaire (see the pdf file) correspond to the numbers found in the file name of each video. In the recordings the elicitor’s voice is faint. Therefore, please use the questionnaire to read the sentences in English. The questionnaire is archived here as "hru_1262_anu_final.pdf" Although this questionnaire primarily aims at eliciting basic word order of Hrusso Aka, the recordings are multipurpose. The mirror technique is used in video recordings so that they can be used also as a phonological resource. Anu, the consultant, has clear, relaxed and natural pronunciation with minimal list intonation. The questionnaire was prepared by Thomas Small and Vijay D’Souza in April 2016, at St. Xavier’s School, Palizi, and St. Berchmans’ School, Thrizino, A.P., India, We used ‘Eutotyp’ questionnaire by Anna Siewierska for guidance, and Beginning Morphology and Syntax, Benjamin F. Elson and Velma B. Pickett (1988: SIL, Dallas). | |
| Each sentence to be elicited was explained to Anu in Hindi. Once she understood and was confident, the sentences were recorded in Hrusso Aka. | ||

| Born and brought up at Buragaon. Daughter of Mr. Nima Jebisow. Married to an Apatani person. The couple is temporarily staying at Buragaon for business. Anu runs a small shop. She is fluent in Hrusso Aka and a very good public speaker. She is well known for her leadership qualities and is active in women's self-help groups coordinated by UFS nuns at Buragaon. | ||
