| Description: | This “ritual of the broken stone” was performed in July 1996 to celebrate an auspicious event in a private house of Choglamsar, a settlement of Tibetan migrates in a suburb of Leh (Ladakh, India). According to local informants, its performers were ermits living in caves of Spiti. Most astonishing is the mixture of a religious ritual with comical scenes and demonstrations of 'magical' powers. | |
| Este “ritual de la piedra rota“ se llevó a cabo en julio de 1996 para celebrar un acontecimiento auspicioso en una casa privada de Choglamsar, un asentamiento de tibetanos migrantes a las afueras de Leh (Ladakh, India). Según los informantes locales, sus intérpretes fueron ermits que viven en las cuevas de Spiti. Lo más asombroso es la mezcla de un ritual religioso con escenas cómicas y demostraciones de poderes “mágicos“. | ||
| Ce « rituel de la pierre brisée » a été célébré en juillet 1996 pour fêter un événement heureux dans une maison de Choglamsar, un quartier d'émigrés tibétains en bordure de la ville de Leh (Ladakh, Inde). D'après les informateurs locaux, ses exécutants étaient des ermites vivant dans des grottes du Spiti. Il s'agit d'un mélange intéressant de rituel religieux, scènes comiques et démonstration de pouvoirs « surnaturels ». | ||
