| Description: | Ngene Gekma - death of mogun. Stori na ol kain samting ibin kamap long yia 1985. Physical tape held at the ANU Pacific Archives, Collection and Item ID: AU ANUA 440-1237. Side A: Various stories by Ngene Gekma on events and happenings that occurred in 1985. Story#1 - 10th PNG Independence anniversary celebrations on 14th,15th and 16th September in Minj town, South Waghi. Story#2 - Death of Mogun Pok due to ill health diagnosed with cancer. He visited various hospitals in South Waghi in Minj, Kudjip, Goroka and Lae but never recovered so passed away. Also some sadness in the passing of numerous relatives in 1985 and expressed as not such a good year. Side B: Story#3 about a snake chase experience when preparing to get thatch roofing grass for a new house to build. Story#4 about fishing experience at Waghi river and besides plenty of fish caught and big eel was part of the catch as a first time. The first eel catch was celebrated by family the customary way with also feast with a pig and meal shared with village people.
